The metal bases are made by hand by Mexican Blacksmiths. Each piece of metal is heated using a tradicional charcoal fire. It is then hand hammered on an anvil and carefully crafted to form the unique and delicate looking bases.
All our bases are painted in a “Rust Dark Brown” Finish.
To make your furniture or accesories shine you can use Armor All to clean the metal.

MARBLE TRAVERTINE IN TERRACOTA COLOR
Natural Stone has been formed over millions of years but improper care can ruin nature’s beauty. We usually think of stone as “HARD” however, it is a porous material that can absorb spills and stains if left untreated. All of Mexports marble has been treated and sealed before it leaves our warehouse.
Our travertine has an overall peach tone with some veining and color movement from rose to rust. Veining is a natural phenomenon which enhances the beauty of the stone.
Dos and Don’ts
- Ideal for outdoor use.
- Do use coasters under glasses, especially if they contain alcohol or citrus juice.
- Do use trivets or mats under hot dishes or cookware
- Do reseal your stone top every 6 months with a professional stone sealer, such as Thomson masonery sealer.
- Do blot up spills immediately to minimize damage to the stone.
- Don’t use cleaners that contain vinegar, bleach, ammonia or acid.
- Don’t use alkaline cleaners not specifically formulated for natural stone.
No matter how careful you are, spills are going to happen. A quick response and the right solutions can keep spills from damaging your stone or the sealer.
Etch Marks-Substances that are highly acidic, such as orange juice, coffee, vinegar, wine, tomato products, mustard and many soft drinks, will “etch” most marble-whether the stone is sealed or unsealed. Although sealing allows you time to wipe up a spill, it cannot stop the chemical reaction that may leave a dull area or etch mark in the stone.

MESQUITE WOOD
Our mesquite tops are sanded smooth however the natural imperfections inherent in mesquite wood are left unaltered. Grain streaks are common and make each piece unique. The panels and molding are hand cut. Mesquite undergoes very little shrinking or swelling. Oak shrinks and swells about 8 times as much as mesquite.
“Mesquite has a swirling grain, Colors and occasional wood grain defects offer a hidden treasure”
Dos and Don’ts
- Do use coasters, trivets or mats under hot dishes or cookware.
- Do use a professional finisher for a wood floor such as Briwax to correct any damage you may cause to the surface, like “white water rings” or scratches.
- Do use a clean dry cloth for dusting routine.
- Don’t use cleaners that contain ammonia, water or other general purpose cleaners.
- Not recommended to use outdoors.
WHITE WATER RINGS
White water rings are caused by condensation of moisture directly into the finished surface of the wood, affecting the finish from the outside in. Most finishes are durable enough for only the top layer of finish to be affected. Apply BRIWAX with #0000 oil-free steel wool, very lightly, in the direction of the grain. Work on half of the water ring at a time. Use Clear BRIWAX. As soon as you begin to see the ring fade, stop, wipe off excess, buff, and repeat the process to the other half of the ring until both halves match. BE PATIENCE. This may require several repetitions. Be sure to feather out the edges of the working area to blend with the entire finish. Once you have removed the water ring, use colored BRIWAX with a cloth to renew the entire piece.
Once a BRIWAX finish has been applied, it should be maintained only with BRIWAX. Do not use household cleaners or spray polishes on a BRIWAX finish. For routine dusting, a clean dry cloth will be sufficient. For stubborn stains, scuffs, or other problem areas, BRIWAX applied with #0000 oil-free steel wool may be necessary.

HAND HAMMERED COPPER
Created by craftsmen, with centuries old metal working tradition, our copper table tops are hand hammered to produce a dimpled surface. The copper is fired, giving an individual finish in reddish and black patina. The copper is then wrapped around and glued to a plywood based.
The copper top is protected with multiple coats of acrylic lacquer used on automobiles. Our copper tops do not change color over time.
Do and Don’ts
- Do use a coaster to prevent rings caused by moisture from drinking glasses.
- Do use trivets or mats under hot dishes or cookware.
- Do wipe up any spills as soon as posible; alcohol-based drinks can be especially damaging to the lacquer finish.
- Do use felts under candlesticks, chargers, etc... anything placed on the copper surface.
- Don’t use cleaners that contain bleach, ammonia, or acid.
- Not recommended for outdoors.
